Feds Raid 20 Immigrant ‘Birth Hotels’ in Los Angeles – This’ll Blow Your Mind

There is actually such a thing as ‘maternity tourism’ business in America.

Reportedly there are many women who come from all over the world, especially from China, just to give birth in the U.S. so their children would be born as American citizens.

There is even a term used for these newborns – ‘anchor babies’

According to Clash, the number of Anchor Babies is speedily increasing.

A recent report shows that in an unexpected federal sting operation, the feds discovered 20 ‘birth hotels’ in 3 California counties.

The goal of the operation was to reveal the masterminds behind this whole scheme who likely make hundreds of thousands of dollars out of this horrific scam, using Chinese foreigners who want to obtain American citizenship for their offspring. Reportedly, the women paid up to $100, 000 to get into the luxury ‘birth hotels’.

NBC News was on the scene as Homeland Security agents swept into The Carlyle, a luxury property in Irvine, California, which housed pregnant women and new moms who allegedly forked over $40,000 to $80,000 to give birth in the United States

According to the report, a Homeland Security special agent, Claude Arnold said, “It’s not necessarily illegal to come here to have the baby, but if you lie about your reasons for coming here, that’s visa fraud.”

Apparently, the list is long. Chinese listing sites have up to several hundred ‘birth hotels’ to choose from.

None of the women found in the operation are being arrested, but they are being treated as witnesses.

The report said : the investigation was aimed at ringleaders who pocketed hundreds of thousands of dollars tax-free to help Chinese nationals obtain visas and then pamper them until they delivered in an American hospital at a discount, court papers show.

There are even councils on how to hide these pregnancies during travel and tips on how to lie their way into the country.

Federal officials raided 20 locations in LA, Orange and San Bernardino counties.

Reportedly, these organizations have websites to gather more clients, promoting the  benefits of a child with U.S. citizenship: 13 years of free education, low-cost college financial aid, less pollution, and a path for the entire family to emigrate when the child becomes an adult.

The women are supposed to be taken care of until their delivery date and are promised smaller rates at local hospitals.

They also provide many other services like transportation for  doctor visits.

According to investigator’s statements, more than 400 newborns were linked to the scheme at just one hospital for a period of two years. This means great losses  for the hospital since they have reduced rates.

This is just one more immigration fraud to the giant fraudulent mountain.

A report from NBC News stated that there was one company under the name USA Happy Baby that was run by Michael Wei Yueh Liu and Jing Dong set up at The Reserves apartments in Rancho Cucamonga that the authorities charged.

The women who decide to take this step are enthusiastic to the idea of giving birth in the United States because that opens up a lot of opportunities for their children and for them as well. Due to the ‘chain migration’ policies, this could mean a ticked to the U.S. for the whole family, and in addition to that  their children will also get big educational benefits.

This is yet another proof that our immigration system is beyond flawed. Something needs to be done as soon as possible otherwise who knows how much more out of control can it get.
